Juliana Miller, winner of The Ultimate Fighter 30 at flyweight, has her first non-TUF UFC fight set.
Miller (3-1) will face Veronica Macedo (6-4-1) in a flyweight match-up at UFC 286 in London, England on March 18, 2023.
“Killer” Miller herself announced the news on the Outside the Box podcast recently.
Miller was arguably a sizeable underdog when she appeared on The Ultimate Fighter, starting the show with just three pro fights under her belt. With a strong grappling background and a scrappy mindset, however, Miller won over fans, and went on to win the show, defeating Brogan Walker via third-round TKO in the TUF 30 finale last August.
Macedo has not fought since a 2020 loss to Bea Malecki at bantamweight. After three years away (almost to the day), she’ll make her return at 125lbs, looking to improve on a 1-4 record inside the octagon.
Prior to joining the UFC, Venezuela’s Macedo had gone undefeated, posting a 5-0-1 record to start her pro career.
Over the Holidays, news broke that Veronica Macedo had married none other than Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy (she now goes by Veronica Hardy on social media). Though multiple reports had her retiring following the Malecki loss due to concussion symptoms, it appears the 27-year old is ready to give fighting another go.
UFC 286 will take place at the O2 Arena in London, England on March 18, 2023. Leon Edwards, the promotion’s current welterweight champ, is expected to headline, though no official announcement has been made.
