All-female fighting outfit Invicta FC will launch its 2023 campaign with Invicta FC 51 on January 18 — and the full line-up for the event has now been revealed.
The 2023 debut show’s main event had previously been announced, and will feature Taneisha Tennant defending her bantamweight championship against UFC alum Talita Bernardo. Joining Tennant vs. Bernardo will be Bellator MMA vet Kristina Williams (6-3), looking for her fourth straight win since exiting that promotion two years ago. She faces Brazil’s Ketlen Souza (12-3) in the Invicta FC 51 co-main event, in a flyweight match-up.
The vacant flyweight title will be in the line in Williams vs. Souza. Promotion officials revealed the full line-up for the card in a press release distributed on Tuesday.
Also on the card, former Bellator title challenger Olga Rubin faces Invicta Phoenix Series vet and promotion staple Serena DeJesus. At 5-2 as a pro, DeJesus has competed for the promotion five times (Phoenix series quarter and semifinal bouts count as exhibition contests), and also holds win in Valor FC and Fusion Fight League.
