UFC 282 is official, with only one fighter missing weight at Friday morning’s official weigh-ins.
While headliners Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev both made championship weight for their light heavyweight title fight, it was Daniel Da Silva coming in three pounds heavy that was the only blemish on Friday. Da Silva weighed in relatively early, but did not make a second attempt at hitting the mark, after stepping on the scale at 129 pounds for his flyweight fight with Vinicius Salvador.
Salvador himself weighed in 30 minutes into Friday’s weigh-in window, coming in at 126 pounds on the noses.
The rest of the card made weight; Da Silva was set cough up 20% of his purse as a result of coming in heavy. However later in the day, UFC officials announced the fight was off due to a medical issue.
