Cameron Saaiman has a new opponent for UFC 282 on December 10.
Just over a week out from the fight, Saaiman (6-0) will now face Steven Koslow (6-0) at the final numbered UFC event of 2022, set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Saaiman confirmed the news on social media following an initial report by MMA Junkie.
A second fight may come during the introductions for the bantamweight bout, as Koslow goes by the nickname “Obi Won Shinobi the Pillow,” for reasons that will hopefully become clearer sometime during Fight Week. “The Pillow” is reportedly a reference to Koslow’s submission skills, but most people go with one nickname, not two or three.
Good luck, Bruce Buffer.
Both fighters are undefeated through their brief professional careers. Saaiman, a South African who held gold for EFC, was a big winner on Dana White’s Contender Series this year. Koslow, stepping in on short notice, had a solid amateur stint before turning pro in 2019.
