Paddy Pimblett will return to the octagon at UFC 282 in December.
The British lightweight known as “The Baddy” has signed on to face Jared Gordon at the upcoming Pay-Per-View event on December 10, 2022. Pimblett himself shared the news on social media, revealing Gordon as the opponent for his fourth UFC fight.
Thus far, Liverpool, England’s Pimblett (19-3) is undefeated under the UFC banner. The former Cage Warriors featherweight champ joined the promotion in 2021, debuting in September of that year against Luigi Vendramini and finishing the Brazilian known as “The Italian Stallion” via knockout late in the first round.
Submission wins over Rodrigo Vargas and Jordan Leavitt, both at the O2 Arena in London, England earlier this year, followed. Vendramini and Vargas have since exited the organization.
Outside the octagon, Pimblett has courted controversy, frequently being banished from social media for his outspoken ways. The budding lightweight star infamously challenged Facebook and Instagram chief Mark Zuckerberg to a fight following March’s UFC London card.
Coincidentally, Zuckerberg turned up at the UFC Apex for a “private” showing of UFC Fight Night 211 earlier this month, which saw the Apex closed to fans and media. Unfortunately, Pimblett wasn’t on hand to greet the social media czar.
Jared Gordon (19-5) last competed at UFC 278 in August, where he secured a decision win over Leonardo Santos. With the company since 2017, Gordon has posted a 7-4 record through 11 fights.
UFC 282 will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 10, 2022. The following fights have been reported for the card to date:
