For the first time in its history, the UFC visits Paris, France this week, with UFC Paris set to feature heavyweight action in its main event on September 3.
That clash of titans will see France’s own Ciryl Gane face off with Australian Tai Tuivasa, in a battle that might be best described as technique versus power. In the co-main event, meanwhile, the top two contenders in the middleweight division collide, with former champ Robert Whittaker facing off with Marvin Vettori.
The UFC’s arrival in France has been a long time coming; the sport of mixed martial arts was legalized in the country in 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic delayed the promotion’s first visit. That will all change Saturday, and in addition to Gane, several French talents including Nassourdine Imavov, Benoit St. Denis, and William Gomis feature on the line-up.
Weigh-ins for UFC Paris take place at 9AM local time (3AM ET). Full results can be found below.
There were no misses at the scale on Friday, with the full UFC Paris card weighing in successfully in about an hour.
