A lightweight booking for the UFC’s December 3, 2022 Fight Night card will see veteran Clay Guida dealing with a little “Hot Sauce.”
Guida (37-22) is set to face Scott Holtzman (14-5) at the event, with “Hot Sauce” Holtzman confirming the booking following an initial report by his gym, Shield Systems Academy.
In a brief message on social media, Holtzman wrote that the fight would be “one last ride,” adding “so let’s burn it down. Hard not to get excited for this one against a Hall of Famer.” He also let slip that the location for the card would be Orlando, Florida, confirming a report by MMA Junkie from Wednesday that suggested the promotion would head back to Florida in December.
Guida is 2-2 in his past four fights, trading wins and losses over the past two years. The UFC Hall of Famer is coming off a kneebar submission loss to Claudio Puelles; prior to that, “The Carpenter” had earned a Performance of the Night bonus for a Comeback of the Year-nominated effort against Leonardo Santos.
Scott Holtzman has lost two straight, albeit to ranked lightweights in Mateusz Gamrot and Beneil Dariush. He has not competed in over a year, however, with the Gamrot fight, his most recent, coming in April 2021.
