Another fun match-up has been added to next month’s UFC 279 card.
Kevin Holland (23-7) is set to face Daniel Rodriguez (16-2) in a welterweight contest at the PPV event on September 10, 2022.
Holland, as has become tradition, announced the news himself in a video posted to social media, also featuring a new song from the welterweight, N3ck.
Holland is 2-0 since returning to the welterweight division earlier this year. He kicked things off in March with a TKO win over Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira, then caught Tim Means in a D’arce choke in June.
He’s also been turning heads outside the octagon, after helping to subdue a shooter at a Texas eatery, and helping to rescue a truck driver from an overturned tractor trailer.
Rodriguez has won three straight fights, including wins over fan favorites Kevin Lee and Mike Perry.
