Las Vegas, NV — Terrance McKinney was ready to go on Saturday with a list of who he wants to fight next.
McKinney had another quick night at UFC Vegas 59 as he submitted Erick Gonzalez in the first round. That was McKinney’s 15th first-round stoppage, and he still holds a 100% finish rate. In fact, “T.Wrecks” has yet to see four minutes of a fight in the UFC.
McKinney was proud of his performance because he showed he could take a punch and get rocked.
“I showed I can eat a punch this time, so people got to see me get hit. I know they’re excited about that,” McKinney told Cageside Press during his UFC Vegas post-fight interview. “Honestly, and I showed that I calmed down, and I wasn’t just being tweaked the whole time. And I’m showing that I’m growing as a martial artist.”
“Oh, [his punch] rocked me, but I wasn’t gonna let it put me down, not at all. I had to show them I got the Drew Dober chin too.”
After his fight, while doing his in-cage interview, McKinney called out Paddy Pimblett for a showdown at Madison Square Garden. He explained the call out to the media.
“Um, it’s just right, man. I think the fans will love it. And I think it’s just about time for us to clash. You know, it’s just a matter of time,” McKinney said. “Even if it’s not this year, it’s going to come, and me and Paddy will headline a main event, and it’s gonna be a sell-out fight.”
Of course, if “T.Wrecks” doesn’t get the Pimblett fight later this year, he has two other names on his hit list.
“Either Jim Miller or Bobby Green. What’s up? It would be an honor to fight either one of you guys. You guys are legends,” McKinney said.
