The Professional Fighters League kicks off its post-season on Friday in New York City, with this year’s PFL 7 card featuring the semifinal round for lightweight and light heavyweight contenders.
Leading the way, former UFC and WEC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, who has a chance for revenge against regular season foe Stevie Ray. Ray had pulled off the shock submission of “Showtime” earlier in the year; the rematch would see the winner advance to the million dollar finals.
On the opposite side of the bracket, Canada’s Olivier Aubin-Mercier was paired up with Alexander Martinez. And at light heavyweight, teammates Omari Akhmedov and Josh Silveira face off on one side, while Rob Wilkinson and Delan Monte clash on the other.
Weigh-ins for the card went down Thursday, with all the key players making weight. The PFL lightweight and light heavyweight semifinals go down Friday, August 4, 2022, airing live on ESPN and ESPN+.
