Muhammad Mokaev has a prediction for UFC London.
In his highly anticipated UFC debut in March, “The Punisher” submitted Cody Durden in less than a minute and received a Performance of the Night bonus for his efforts. Mokaev (6-0) returns for his highly anticipated second UFC fight this weekend at UFC London, and he is looking for another early night.
Mokaev faces LFA flyweight champion Charles Johnson, who will be making his UFC debut and is riding a four-fight win streak.
The 21-year-old likes the match-up, but he believes he is levels above his opponent.
“[He is a] good guy. Good opponent; Good striker. Cardio good. But he has huge, huge disadvantages in grappling and in wrestling,” Mokaev told Cageside Press recently, in an exclusive interview. “Like, I’m not sure what he’s gonna do on the floor. You know, I will finish this guy because there are levels to this, you know, there’s levels to grappling. You cannot hit pads and strike and not concentrate on the grappling as much.”
The 2020 IMMAF champion did a lot of his camp in America at American Top Team, and he thinks because of that, his skills have improved immensely.
Mokaev says he will finish Johnson before the third round.
“I will get my hand raised by will finishing him. I will finish him in round one or two. I don’t think it will go to distance. Especially with background chaos,” Mokaev predicted.
