Quarantillo (16-4) makes his first appearance in 2022 after going 1-1 last year. In his last outing, he had absolutely incredible fight with Shane Burgos at UFC 268 last November, in which he would lose a unanimous decision. Prior to that, he finished Gabriel Benítez at UFC on ESPN: Makhachev vs. Moisés. After starting out 3-0 in the UFC, “Billy Q” has lost two of his last three and will be looking to rebound.
Algeo (15-6) spoiled Joanderson Brito’s UFC debut in January at UFC on ESPN: Kattar vs. Chikadze when he defeated him via unanimous decision. “Señor Perfecto” has alternated wins and losses in his first four UFC fights and will be looking to put together a streak.
The UFC’s July 16 event does not yet have a venue, location, or broadcast plan officially announced. The following fights have been reported for the card:
- Askar Askarov vs. Alex Perez
- Dustin Jacoby vs. Jung Da Un
- Herbert Burns vs. Khusein Askhabov
- Michelle Waterson vs. Amanda Lemos
- Jack Shore vs. Ricky Simon
- Billy Quarantillo vs. Bill Algeo
