UFC welterweights Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington entered a physical altercation outside a Miami restaurant late Monday night that led to local authorities being called to the scene.
The bad blood between UFC welterweights Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal is certainly not over.
Per reports, the two were involved in a physical altercation late Monday night at the restaurant Papi Steak in Miami that led to police being called to the scene. Though exact details are still being confirmed, various outlets report that Covington was out to dinner with social media influencers the Nelk boys and that Masvidal engaged with Covington outside the restaurant.

Masvidal took to social media to address the incident, saying:
“Calling this the show-your-face challenge, you know? Um, what’s up? I’m from Dade County. You talk that sh*t, you gotta back it up. That’s how my city rolls, man.”

In another video, Covington is shown with in the aftermath of the incident surrounded by police and in the company of social media influencer Bob Menery. In that video, Covington is heard saying:
“He’s over here swinging, trying to come at me, and I ran out the back of the room…How would he even know I’m here?”
Later in the evening brothers Malki and Abe Kawa, who manage Masvidal at First Round Management, took to social media to comment on the situation.

As of this writing it is unclear if further legal action will be taken against either Masvidal or Covington at this time. Covington himself has yet to publicly address the situation.
