ONE middleweight champion Reinier de Ridder was set to make the first defense of his title — one of two, alongside the light heavyweight belt — at Full Circle on Friday.
de Ridder, who had won both belts from promotion megastar Aung La N Sang last year, was set to face off with Kiamrian Abbasov in the Full Circle main event — where the Dutch standout would look not just to defend his title, but to maintain his perfect record in mixed martial arts as well.
Also featured, a middleweight trilogy fight years in the making, as former champs Vitaly Bigdash and Aung La N Sang met for the third time.
Notably absent from the card was David Branch, whose promotional debut fell through when he failed to clear medical protocols. Branch had been expected to compete against Leandro Ataides.
