After going on a two-fight win streak, Jandiroba (17-3) has alternated wins and losses in her last three. In her most recent outing, she lost to No. 9 ranked Amanda Ribas at UFC 267 on ‘Fight Island.’ Four months prior, she broke Kanako Murata’s arm at UFC on ESPN: The Korean Zombie vs. Ige.
Hill (13-11) has fallen on hard times as of late, but it’s not entirely her fault as three of her four losses over the past two years have come via split decision. That, in fights where a majority of people feel she won; including her last loss against Amanda Lemos at UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Daukaus. Additionally, her losses to Michelle Waterson and Cláudia Gadelha in 2020 were also via split decision.
Both of these women are trying to get back into the win column and climb up the division.
The UFC’s May 14, 2022 event does not yet have an official location, venue, or broadcast plan announced.
The May fight card currently looks like this:
- Lauren Murphy vs. Miesha Tate
- Viviane Araújo vs. Andrea Lee
- Frank Camacho vs. Manuel Torres
- Daniel Pineda vs. Jamall Emmers
- Angela Hill vs. Virna Jandiroba
