A women’s flyweight match-up between Ariane Lipski and JJ Aldrich is the latest addition to the UFC’s March 12 Fight Night event.
MMA Fighting was first to report news of the booking, following Lipski posting the date of her next fight on social media.
A former KSW flyweight champ, “The Queen of Violence” Lipski (14-7) went 1-1 in 2021. In June, she suffered a TKO loss against Montana De La Rosa, but bounced back in September by winning a unanimous decision against Mandy Bohm.
Overall, Lipski is 3-4 inside the octagon and looking to even out her record with a win over Aldrich.
Denver’s JJ Aldrich (10-4) was expected to face Tracy Cortez this past August, but was instead matched up with promotional newcomer Vanessa Demopoulos when Cortez pulled out. Aldrich won the fight via unanimous decision, extending her win streak to two. A former strawweight, Aldrich is 3-2 at 125lbs since returning to the division in 2019. She briefly competed at 125lbs outside the promotion.
