Light heavyweight Dustin Jacoby, currently on his second tour of duty in the UFC, has his next assignment set.
On Thursday, Iridium Sports Agency, which represents Jacoby (16-5-1), announced that he would be facing Poland’s Michal Oleksiejczuk at UFC 272 on March 5, 2022. Jacoby had previously announced that he’d signed a bout agreement, as well as a new UFC contract.
Since his return to the promotion by way of Dana White’s Contender Series last year, Dustin Jacoby has posted a 4-0-1 record. He’s won fights against Justin Ledet, Maxim Grishin, Darren Stewart, and most recently, John Allan, with the only thing close to a blemish being a draw against Ion Cutelaba this past May.
That’s in stark contrast to Jacoby’s original UFC run, which saw him post an 0-2 record prior to being released. From there, Jacoby made stops in the WSOF, Bellator MMA, and competed in kickboxing for GLORY before heading back to mixed martial arts.
The 26-year old Michal Oleksiejczuk has won his last two fights inside the octagon. With a 4-2, 1NC record to date in the promotion, Oleksiejczuk is coming off wins over Modestas Bukauskas and Shamil Gamzatov, the latter a TKO finish at UFC 267 in October.
UFC 272 on March 5, 2022 is expected to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. No main event has been announced to date. Thus far, the following fights have been reported for the card:
Bryce Mitchell vs. Edson Barboza
Jessica Eye vs. Manon Fiorot
Maryna Moroz vs. Mariya Agapova
Dustin Jacoby vs. Michal Oleksiejczuk
