The final card of 2021 for KSW went down on Saturday in Gliwice, Poland — with two title fights featured on the KSW 65 card.
In the co-main event, only Salahdine Parnasse was eligible to win featherweight gold. That’s after Daniel Torres, who defeated Parnasse earlier in the year to win the title, missed weight for the fight. Coming in over championship weight resulted in Torres being stripped of his title, a rare and unfortunate occurrence in MMA — especially so given his recent hot streak.
Atop the KSW 65 card on Saturday was a champion vs. champion fight, as Roberto Soldic, considered by most one of the best welterweight fighters out there, moved up to 185lbs to challenge middleweight champ Mamed Khalidov.
