ONE Championship’s final event of November, Friday’s NextGen III, saw the return of former UFC flyweight Jarred Brooks.
Brooks, making his promotional debut for ONE, was looking to extend his win streak to three, and did just that care of a second-round arm-triangle choke submission of Lito Adiwang. “The Monkey God” is now 4-0, 1NC in his last five fights, dating back to a split decision win inside the UFC octagon in September 2018.
Having competed for WSOF Global, RIZIN, and the UFC, Brooks could find himself on the fast-track to a title shot in ONE’s strawweight division moving forward.
Also on the ONE: NEXTGEN III card, Brazilian Alex “Little Rock” Silva, another strawweight standout, won his second straight care of an arm-bar submission against Rene Catalan.
