LFA 118 was expected to feature a strawweight title fight atop the card on Friday.
That fight, however, will not move forward as planned.
The strawweight championship bout had featured Jaqueline Amorim taking on Loveth Young, with both fighters LFA veterans on solid win streaks. However, the bout was scratched just hours before it was due to take place.
“Unfortunately we have some very terrible news to report off the top of this show,” LFA’s broadcast team announced off the top of the hour on UFC Fight pass. “The main event was unable to meet the sanctioning requirements from the California State Athletic Commission, and has been cancelled.”
Some bad news, the strawweight title fight is off.

No details on exactly what requirements were not met were revealed during the broadcast. It’s expected that the fight will be pushed back to a later date. But the result remains the same for Friday night’s show.
