RIZIN Fighting Federation returned to action on Sunday, traveling to the city of Yokohama, not far from Tokyo, for RIZIN 31.
The event saw a featherweight title fight top the card, with champion Yutaka Saito putting his belt on the line opposite Juntaro Ushiku. Also known as “Fighting Bull,” the challenger was the current DEEP featherweight champion.
In addition to the title fight atop the card, Kanna Asakura was also featured, fighting in the co-main event against Jewels atomweight and DEEP microweight champion Saori Oshima. Asakura was competing for the first time since her losing bid to claim the RIZIN super atomweight title against Ayaka Hamasaki.
UFC alums Masanori Kanahara and Daichi Abe also fought on Sunday’s card.
RIZIN 31 takes place Sunday, October 24 at the Pia Arena in Yokohama, Japan. The event can be streamed online via LIVE-NOW. The broadcast kicks off at 1AM ET. Full results from Sunday’s event are available below.
