KSW 65 has a couple of massive title fights on deck.
During Saturday’s KSW 64 broadcast, a pair of hotly anticipated championship bouts were announced for the December event, which will take place in Gliwice, Poland. In the card’s main event, welterweight champion Roberto Soldic (19-3) will move up to middleweight to challenge 185lb champ Mamed Khalidov (35-7-2).
The co-feature, meanwhile, will see Salahdine Parnasse (15-1-1) challenge Daniel Torres (12-4) for the promotion’s featherweight title. That fight will be a rematch of the pair’s January title fight, where Parnasse suffered the first loss of his professional career.
Parnasse bounced back in June when he submitted Felipe Pejic at KSW 61. Torres has not competed since the pair’s first meeting.
Soldic, meanwhile, is winner of six straight fights. And while he holds and has defended the KSW welterweight title, the Croatian fighter has competed at 185lbs during that stretch.
Khalidov reclaimed the middleweight title he lost to Scott Askham in 2019 care of a rematch last year. Prior to the loss to Askham, he’d lost back-to-back fights to Tomasz Narkun, and briefly retired. Before those setbacks, Khalidov spent the better part of eight years undefeated, and was widely considered one of the best middleweights outside the UFC.
KSW 65 is set to take place at the Arena Gliwice in Gliwice, Poland on December 18, 2021. No other fights have been reported for the card to date.
