Modestas Bukauskas Interview (2:03)
We kick off this week’s episode by talking with Modestas Bukauskas. The Lithuanian-born light heavyweight dug into the shock and sting of his most recent split decision loss. He shared how he dealt with it and what he felt like he needed to improve. Plus, he details the reasons why he decided to change camps to somewhere a bit closer. He also went into details of how his dad helped him make that switch and how he now has some new, larger training partners. Then he previews his UFC Vegas 36 fight this weekend with Khalil Rountree.
Fights, Dogs, and Parlays: UFC Vegas 36 (16:34)
Gumby and Shockwave are back giving you all you need to make your wallet fat for this upcoming weekend. For two weeks in a row, their dog of the week has hit for some fat cash, there is really no reason not to be trailing these two while they ride this heater. Plus, they dig into the main event between Darren Till and Derek Brunson – and even disagree a bit on their picks for that one. They’ll also be sharing their thoughts on Tom Aspinall vs Sergey Spivac and Molly McCann vs Ji Yeon Kim.
Dustin Jacoby Interview (26:55)
Fresh off of his big TKO victory over Darren Stewart, Dustin Jacoby pops by to close out the episode. He talks about the early takedown attempts from Stewart and how he found his rhythm so fast in there. In addition, he shares his thoughts on scoring his first ever finish in the UFC. He and Gumby then discuss the grappling side of Jacoby’s game, which is not often seen, and talk about if we will see it more soon. Jacoby then talks about his place near (or possibly in?) the rankings and what/when is next for him.
