Two title fights topped the LFA 114 card on Friday, with featherweights in the spotlight as Lyoto Machida prodigy Bruno Souza took on Javier Garcia for the promotion’s vacant 145lb strap.
On a nine-fight win streak to start the night, Brazil’s Souza had not lost since his pro debut, and was knocking on the door of the major promotions. Who would likely answer should he claim the title at LFA 114.
In the co-main event of the evening, an interim flyweight title fight saw Charles Johnson defending his belt against Joao Antonio Camilo Neto.
Originally, former strawweight champ Vanessa Demopoulos was expected to feature on Friday’s show. However, her number was called up to the UFC, where she’ll fill in for Tracey Cortez on Saturday against JJ Aldrich.
