The 29th season of The Ultimate Fighter is over, and now all that is left is for the finalists to fight.
On August 28 at UFC on ESPN: Barboza vs. Chikadze, The Ultimate Fighter 29 finale will take place. In a pure Team Volkanovski bantamweight finale, Ricky Turcios will fight Brady Hiestand. In the middleweight finale, Bryan Battle will fight Tresean Gore.
Turcios (10-2) defeated Daniel Argueta in the Quarter-finals, and then in one of the best fights of the season, he defeated Liudvik Sholinian via unanimous decision in the Semi-finals.
Hiestand (5-1) defeated Joshua Rettinghouse in the Quarter-finals and then punched his way to the finals by defeating Vince Murdock via TKO.
Battle (5-1) defeated Kemran Lachinov in the Quarter-finals and then submitted Andre Petroski via guillotine choke to prove his doubters wrong.
Gore (3-0) defeated Ryder Newman in the Quarter-finals, and then in the Semi-Finals, he knocked out Gilbert Urbina.
The winner of each bracket will receive a UFC contract and be named ‘The Ultimate Fighter.’
UFC Vegas 35 will take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, NV, with Edson Barboza and Giga Chikadze headlining the event.
