Perhaps the most under-the-radar card of the UFC’s year-to-date arrives this Saturday with UFC Vegas 33.
The ESPN event is topped by Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland, in a fight that could push either middleweight into the title picture. Hall in particular is within striking distance, with two straight wins against former middleweight champions — albeit an aging Anderson Silva, and Chris Weidman due to tragic leg break.
Also on the card, notable names including Bryan Barberena and former Invicta FC champ Jinh Yu Frey.

Three fights hit snags at the UFC Vegas 33 weigh-in Friday. Phil Rowe missed weight, though his fight will move forward. Ronnie Lawrence did not weigh in, meaning his fight with Trevin Jones is off the card. Nicco Montano also badly missed weight, by 7lbs, for her bout against Wu Yanan. It’s off the card as well.
