A pair of very exciting featherweights will look to get back in the win column when they collide in October.
MMA DNA was the first to report that Ludovit Klein and Nate Landwehr will fight on October 16 at a yet-to-be-announced UFC event. Klein would confirm the booking on his Instagram.
Landwehr (14-4) has alternated losses in his three UFC fights. Last year, in his promotional debut against Herbert Burns, he wound up knocked out in the first round. He would return four months later and defeat Darren Elkins in a memorable bloody fight. “The Train” would try and get a third fight in 2020 but would contract COVID-19, and then his future opponent would test positive for COVID-19 the day of the event. Landwehr most recently was finished 56 seconds into the first round at UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Lewis against Julian Erosa. Landwehr was scheduled against Makwan Amirkhani last month but had to withdraw.
Klein (17-3) had his eight-fight win streak snapped when he lost a closely contested unanimous decision to Mike Trizano last month. The Slovakian excitingly won his UFC debut when he knocked out Shane Young in less than two minutes last year on ‘Fight Island.’
No location, venue, or broadcast details have been announced by the promotion for the October 16 UFC event. Additionally, no other fights have been reported.
