Poland’s KSW 61 returns to action on Saturday — with fans in the building at the Ergo Arena in Gdansk. That marked a first since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, and the promotion brought out one of its biggest names to top the occasion: former World’s Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski.
With two straight wins under his belt, “Pudzian” was looking to make it three in a row over somewhat of a step up in competition. Opposite the hulking heavyweight was Lukasz Jurkowski, coming off a win — but having previously competed at 205lbs.
Also on the card on Saturday, former featherweight champ Salahdine Parnasse. Fresh off the first loss of his pro career, the now former champ was looking for redemption against Filip Pejic. The winner of the bout could very well be fast-tracked to a title shot (in Parnasse’s case, a rematch) with Daniel Torres.
