A pair of UFC welterweights will try and get back on track in April.
The UFC announced on social media recently that welterweight knockout artist Abdul Razak Alhassan will fight Jacob Malkoun on April 17 at UFC on ESPN 22.
Alhassan (10-3) is currently on the first losing streak of his career and is coming off a brutal knockout. In the co-main event of UFC Fight Night: Felder vs. dos Anjos, Khaos Williams knocked the Ghanaian fighter out in 30 seconds. Four months prior, Alhassan had his three-fight streak snapped against Mounir Lazzez on ‘Fight Island.’ All ten of Alhassan wins are first-round knockouts.
Malkoun (4-1) will be looking for his first UFC win. His UFC debut did not last long as he was finished in 18 seconds against Phil Hawes at UFC 254. The Australian fighter was undefeated prior to his UFC debut.
