The March 20 UFC card gets an injection of violence with Paul Craig and Jamahal Hill throwing down at the upcoming event.
First reported by MMA Junkie, the light heavyweight bout will be prominently featured on the UFC Fight Night: Holland vs. Brunson card. The bout will see Hill (8-0) gettiung back in the cage after a breakout 2020 year. The unbeaten 29-year old managed to pick up three wins in the chaotic year. Most recently, he commanded the attention of the entire division after he silenced Ovince St. Preux with a devastating flurry of punches.
Craig (14-4-1) has looked impressive recently as well. Following a 2019 setback against Alonzo Menifield (Craig eventually lost by punches in the second round), his striking has clearly evolved. Since that 2019 bout, Craig has put together a three win, one draw unbeaten streak. Most notably, his rematch with Brazilian legend Mauricio Rua stands out, where he finished the PRIDE great with a barrage of strikes.
Not only is Hill undefeated, but he’s shown his ability to hang in high-intensity fights. “OSP” is a great litmus test for upcoming prospects, and Hill displayed his readiness for the next level after he finished the fight with strikes in the second round. The unbeaten American’s ability to evade the dangerous chokes of Saint Preux and keeping distance will be of great service in his upcoming bout.
