The UFC’s featherweight division is currently ruled by Alexander Volkanovski, and at least for the time being, the “Blessed Era” is a thing of the past.
With Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar having dropped down to bantamweight, there is plenty of room for advancement at 145lbs. Fighters like Calvin Kattar and Zabit Magomedsharipov feature big in the division’s immediate future, but MMA is very much about looking ahead.
