There was a lot to like about KSW’s final offering of the year. Going down in Lodz, Poland, KSW 57 had not one, not two, but three title fights, just for starters.
At the top of the card, heavyweight champion Phil De Fries, a former UFC fighter on the best run of his career, returned to make yet another defense of his title, this time against Poland’s own Michal Kita. For his part, Kita entered the fight on a two-bout finishing streak — but England’s De Fries was winner of six straight.
The co-main event saw Marian Ziółkowski and Roman Szymański throw down for the vacant lightweight championship, while Antun Račić was set to defend his bantamweight title against Brazil’s Antun Račić.
Also on the card, PFL veteran Abusupiyan Magomedov was paired up with Cezary Kęsik, and ex-champ Borys Mankowski was set to face Artur Sowinski.
