The main event of UFC Vegas 14 was supposed to be between Islam Makhachev and Rafael dos Anjos, but Makhachev pulled out a few days before the fight. Paul Felder saved the day by stepping in on short notice for a card he was supposed to be broadcasting. Felder has won five of his last seven fights, losing in a close decision against top-five contender Dan Hooker last time out. RDA has lost four of his last five and is moving back to lightweight for this contest. Felder is slightly favored, receiving four out of seven picks.
The co-main event has the makings of a banger with Abdul Razak Alhassan taking on Khaos Williams. Williams made his promotional debut in February, knocking out Alex Morono in under 30 seconds. Alhassan had knockouts in four of his first five fights in the UFC, but is coming off a loss to Mounir Lazzez. Alhassan was slightly favored with four of seven picks.
Young strawweights Kay Hansen and Cory McKenna will battle on the main card. Hansen, a 7-3 Invicta FC veteran, impressed in her UFC debut with a submission victory over Jinh Yu Frey. McKenna will be making her promotional debut after a solid 4-1 run in Cage Warriors and a Contender Series appearance. Hansen was unanimously picked.
Opening up the main card will be Eryk Anders and Antonio Arroyo. Anders has struggled in the UFC, going 5-5 in the Octagon. Arroyo had to make two appearances on the Contender Series before getting a contract. Since then, he’s 0-1 since and pulled out of a fight after the weigh-ins back in February. Anders got the slight nod with four picks to Arroyo’s three.
