Welterweight action featuring Bryan Barberena and Daniel Rodriguez is the latest addition to UFC Vegas 14 next month.
First reported by MMA DNA, the bout sees Rodriguez (13-1) and Barberena (15-7) both looking to climb up the 170lb ladder.
Bryan “Bam Bam” Barberena has been there before. High profile match-ups with Colby Covington, Leon Edwards, and Vicente Luque have not gone his way, however. Over all, Barberena is 6-5 inside the octagon, but will enter the November match-up off a win against Anthony Ivy.
Rodriguez, meanwhile, has yet to taste defeat inside the octagon. A longtime veteran of the regional circuit as well as Bellator MMA and Combate Americas, Rodriguez arrived in the UFC by way of Dana White’s Contender Series. Picking up a win on the show in 2019 wasn’t enough to earn him a contract outright. But it put him on the promotion’s radar, which landed him a short-notice opportunity against Tim Means back in February. He made the most of it, submitting the veteran Means, and has not looked back. Rodriguez is 3-0 in the promotion in 2020, and will look to cap off the year with his fourth win under the UFC banner.
Including his bouts outside the UFC, Rodriguez is sitting on a nine-fight win streak.
UFC Vegas 14 (UFC Fight Night 183) takes place November 14 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
