The third of three consecutive Bellator cards in Milan, Italy on Saturday put an end to a successful run at the Allianz Cloud. The trio of shows, including Bellator Europe 8, Bellator 247, and Bellator Europe 9, secured the promotion’s place as the biggest player in Europe at the moment.
It also secured James Gallagher’s spot as one of the bantamweight division’s rising stars, as he wasted little time in submitting Cal Ellenor, after finally getting his hands on him. Ellenor and “The StrabAnimal” of SBG Ireland had been matched up several times before, with the fight falling through on each and every occassion.
Charlie Ward, another teammate of Conor McGregor, was another big winner on Saturday, improving to 6-1 in the Bellator cage with a win over Andy Manzolo.
