Don’t expect ONE Championship atomweight queen and promotional darling Angela Lee to be defending her title any time soon. That’s after the popular fighter, one of the biggest homegrown names in the Asian promotion, announced late Thursday that she’s pregnant.
Taking to social media to reveal the news, Lee (10-2), just 24 years old, announced that “we’re having a baby,” adding “Yes!!! I am preggers!!” and revealing that the newest member of the family would be arriving in April 2021.
Lee is married to BJJ ace and fellow ONE Championship athlete Bruno Pucci. Among an assortment of photos Lee posted in correlation with her surprise baby announcement was a shot of a onesie with “this is what happens when they cancel sports” on it.

In follow-up posts on social media, Lee wrote that her and Pucci had been holding onto the secret for over a month, and that she was 11 weeks into her pregnancy. She went on to add that “This is seriously a dream come true. Becoming a Mom, has always been my ultimate goal; Worth more to me then any amount of championship gold.”

“The best things come at the most unexpected times. Baby made sure to surprise us just as I was in the best shape of my life,” Lee noted.
The atomweight champ most recently competed in October 2019, when she avenged her one of her two losses. That came in a submission of China’s Xiong Jingnan, who defeated Lee in a strawweight title fight earlier in the year. Lee is the inaugural atomweight champ in ONE, and has defended her title four times.
