Sijara Eubanks was hospitalized because of weight cutting complications after she swept the competition in TUF Season 26. Eubanks was all set to fight for the inaugural UFC Women’s Flyweight Title, but her body would just not cooperate and the opportunity slipped away.
Eubanks would fight just one more time in the flyweight division after this fight before missing weight again at 127.2lbs for her November of 2018 fight against Roxanne Modafferi. Following the bout, the now 35-year-old Eubanks moved up to 135lbs, where after dropping two fights, she was finally able to find success against Sarah Moras a few months ago.
Eubanks goes up against the surging Julia Avila at UFC Vegas 10.
