Heavyweights topped the UFC 252 card, and heavyweights featured on the early prelims as well. That early fight saw the debut of two big men for the promotion, in the form of Chris Daukaus and Parker Porter.
Daukaus’ only loss in years had come to UFC and Bellator veteran Azunna Anyanwu, while Porter had won two straight in CES MMA, and faced the likes of Gabriel Gonzaga and Jon Jones earlier in his career. Yes, that Jon Jones.
At UFC 252, both heavyweights came out throwing heavy as Parker landed a big leg kick. When they tied up in the clinch Daukaus was landing over the shoulder; that seemed to buckle Parker a bit. Parker was landing some good strikes as well, bloodying up the nose of Daukaus. Daukaus was the much faster fighter however, getting off strikes really quick. Daukaus dropped Parker with a rapid combination, landing the right-left-right. Chris jumped on him but Parker got back to his feet. Shortly after, Daukaus landed another combination ending with a knee and the ref stepped in.

The UFC has another pair of fighting brothers on its hands, as Chris Daukaus’ brother Kyle made his debut earlier this year. Heck of a debut from Daukaus, who is likely in the running for a Performance bonus thanks to that finish.
Official Result: Chris Daukaus def. Parker Porter by TKO (Punches and Knees), Round 1, 4:28
