They’re back! Bellator gets going once again Friday night, after taking several months off due to the coronavirus pandemic. After that pregnant pause, it’s on with the show — in this case Bellator 242 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT.
The main card will be airing live on Paramount Network and DAZN starting at 10PM ET. Before that takes place, however, there’s a trio of fights on the preliminary card, streaming live and free online.
Among them, the undefeated Cass Bell put his perfect record on the line against fellow bantamweight Raufeon Stots.
Heavyweight action, meanwhile, would see Rudy Schaffroth take on short-notice replacement Ras Hylton. Schaffroth was originally expected to face undefeated prospect Steve Mowry, who trains out of Hard Knocks 365 in Florida. However, Mowry tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the bout, resulting in him being pulled from the card.
Schaffroth was last seen in August of last year, when he had his own undefeated record snapped by Tyrell Fortune.
