UFC welterweight Mike Perry is in hot water and facing an assault charge.
Cageside Press has confirmed Perry’s involvement in a an incident caught on camera with Lubbock, TX police. The video, which has made the rounds on social media, does not depict what led to the encounter, but shows an enraged Perry being escorted out of the restaurant, Table 82.
As he is being led out of the building, Perry becomes more and more agitated, claiming that someone inside had touched him, while a pair of female companions, one of which appears to be girlfriend Latory Gonzalez, attempts to calm him down.
Cooler heads do not prevail. See for yourself in the video below.

This is pretty disgusting behaviour from a UFC calibre fighter. Acting like a complete child. pic.twitter.com/ZAuxZTtXtW

The alleged assault took place July 7. Perry ends up in an altercation with an older man, who he appears to drop with a punch while numerous bystanders attempt to intervene. Prior to swinging, Perry yells “I’ll knock your old ass out.” After the commotion, Perry can be heard using both racial slurs, and apparently berating his own companions, yelling “you’re not on my side, b*tch!”
This is not the first time Perry has been in hot water, nor the first time he’s used racial slurs. However, this time around, he’s looking at an assault charge. He’s been charged with Class A assault, a misdemeanor, per Police.
Perry’s only response to the incident was a “no comment” posted on social media.

Perry returned to the octagon just over a week ago, defeating Mickey Gall via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 12. That snapped a two-fight losing streak for the fighter, who has been as controversial outside the cage as he has been entertaining inside it.
