Sometimes fighters get very creative on how they announce a fight agreement. Check out Aleksei Oleinik’s announcement of his heavyweight fight with Derrick Lewis on his Instagram page, to take place August 8. No question, we are definitely giving a 10/10 for creativity!

ESPN later confirmed that the two had agreed to face off in a key pairing for the division.
Derrick Lewis looks to continue his two-fight winning streak and make it three in a row as he is on the hunt for title contention in the heavyweight division after his unanimous decision victory over Ilir Latifi back in February at UFC 247. Lewis still has some questions to be answered after going the distance with Latifi, and Oleinik is a great match-up for the number four ranked heavyweight.
As for Aleksei Oleinik, he comes into this bout against Lewis with the confidence of beating a former heavyweight champion in Fabrício Werdum recently at UFC 249 in May. If Oleinik can execute the same game plan against Lewis that he used to knock off the former heavyweight King Werdum, it could propel him up the ranks of the division.
Stylistically, this is a great striker vs. grappler contest and it is a very exciting one for fight fans. This main event could potentially garner a “Performance of the Night” bonus for either men.
In the meantime, Chris Weidman vs. Omari Akhmedov has also been revealed for the UFC’s August 8 card, which does not yet have an official title or location.
