The UFC on ESPN 10 weigh-in was not without its share of drama.
Once again, Karl Roberson missed weight for his fight with Marvin Vettori. The middleweight pair are the co-main event of the Las Vegas card. They’d been booked once before, at UFC Jacksonville. However, Roberson missed weight for the fight, 1.5lbs over the limit. The fight was to move forward, but he was forced to withdraw due to health reasons.
On Friday, weighing in once again to face Vettori just a month later, Roberson was even heavier. A full 4.5lbs over the non-title middleweight limit. Vettori had already weighed in at 186lbs.
And the fun didn’t stop there. Midway through weigh-in, Darrick Minner announced that weight-cut complications had forced him to withdraw from his fight with Jordan Griffin. Main event flyweight Jessica Eye, meanwhile, missed weight just barely — coming in at 126.25lbs. Eye looked visibly shaky and said after getting off the scale that she was done cutting and wasn’t sure she could stand.

Zarrukh Adashev also missed weight, by 2.5lbs for his bantamweight bout against Tyson Nam. In short, the UFC on ESPN 10 weigh-in was a mess. Still, the show will go on, the fights will go on.
