The bookings continue to come in fast and furious. With the next three UFC cards getting the green light by the NSAC this week, fight news will be spilling out. One of the latest pairings will see longtime veteran Jim Miller face Roosevelt Roberts on June 20.
The event is expected to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. MMA Junkie was first to report the news.
Once again, Miller (31-14, 1NC) will make a bit of history when he steps into the octagon. The lightweight, who will be competing at a 160lb catchweight for the fight, will be making his 35th octagon appearance. That will again tie him with Donald Cerrone, who currently sits in first place for most UFC fights.
In his past four fights, Miller has posted a 2-2 record, but had a two-fight win streak snapped last time out. That came in a loss to Scott Holtzman at UFC Rio Rancho.
His opponent, Roosevelt Roberts (10-1) will be making a quick turnaround, competing less than a month after his win against Brok Weaver at UFC Vegas. That victory gave the Contender Series alum a two-fight win streak inside the octagon.
The UFC’s June 20th card is set to be headlined by heavyweight action, with Curtis Blaydes taking on Alexander Volkov.
