Bellator Dublin — a.k.a. Bellator Europe 7 for those inclined to keep count — went down Saturday at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. Part of what was being advertised as a double-bill alongside Bellator 240, the European Series 7 portion of the show was headlined by Leah McCourt vs. Judith Ruis.
For viewers in North America, Bellator 240 would then air later in the evening on Paramount, with Brent Primus vs. Chris Bungard serving as that show’s main event.
First up, however, was the three-fight card Bellator Dublin card, airing at 10PM in the U.K. and at 5PM ET on the promotion’s official Youtube channel for the rest of the world.
In addition to McCourt vs. Ruis, the three-pack of fights also included SBG Ireland’s Charlie Ward against Kyle Kurtz, and Geordie Shore reality TV star Aaron Chalmers taking on Austin Clem. Ward was looking to get back in the win column after a loss in his last outing snapped a four fight win streak. Chalmers, who entered the night 5-1, was looking to make it two in a row.
