Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris have been paired up again, atop UFC Portland, while a spring date in Oklahoma City has also been added to the UFC’s calendar.
The UFC is heading back to a pair of cities it hasn’t visited in years. The promotion has set its sights on Portland, Oregon and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and will visit both this spring. The Portland date will take place April 11, with a number of fights unveiled for the card on Saturday. The Oklahoma City date, meanwhile, is expected to take place three weeks later, on May 2.
Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris are expected to serve as the UFC Portland main event, per a statement from the promotion. The pair were originally slated to fight at UFC DC in December, prior to the abduction and murder of Harris’ stepdaughter Aniah Blanchard.
The promotion also revealed the following bouts for Portland:
Vicente Luque vs. Randy Brown
Carla Esparza vs. Michelle Waterson
Tristan Connelly vs. Alex da Silva
Don’Tale Mayes vs. Rodrigo Nascimento
Markus Perez vs. Alessio Di Chiricio
Julia Avila vs. Karol Rosa
The organization has visited Portland twice before. Their last visit was in 2016, for UFC Fight Night 96. That card was headlined by John Dodson and John Lineker. This year’s event will again be at the Moda Center.
Three weeks later, on May 2, the octagon will head to Oklahoma City for the first time since since 2017’s Michael Chiesa vs. Kevin Lee card. The event will unfold at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. No fights have been announced for that date, which will go on sale March 13. The Portland date, meanwhile, goes on sale February 21.
