The big names atop UFC 247 will be in attendance at a special athlete panel Wednesday, ahead of this weekend’s PPV.
The stars of UFC 247 will be on hand Wednesday night for a special, two-part athlete panel. With Jon Jones making his first walk to the octagon this year a lot of eyes will be on the event this weekend. Keenly aware of this, the promotion is making Jones, challenger Dominick Reyes, and others available at a special athlete panel on Wednesday.
Hosted by play-by-play man Jon Anik, the first half of the panel will kick off at 7PM ET with Dominick Reyes, Katlyn Chookagian, and Ilir Latifi in attendance. Wisely keeping opponents separated (who needs another Usman-Masvidal situation, right?), the second half goes down at 7:45p ET with light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones, women’s strawweight champion Valentina Shevchenko, and heavyweight Derrick Lewis.
Reyes, undefeated, is being marketed as the biggest threat to Jones’ in years, while Jones is coming off one of the worst performances of his career — a split decision win over Thiago Santos. How Jones bounces back from that fight is something many fans and pundits are interested in.
