Visa issues have delayed Darren Till’s arrival to New York City ahead of UFC 244, but he is expected to make Friday’s weigh-in.
Darren Till will be a little tardy making it to New York City. After bumping into some Visa issues which have subsequently been resolved, Till will not arrive in the Big Apple until late in the week, just in time for weigh-ins. News of the VISA delay was first reported by @TalkMMA on Twitter.
On Wednesday, TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter confirmed that Till would not be made available to reporters until Friday, missing the open workouts and media day.
Darren Till will not be attending open workouts or Ultimate Media Day per a press release.
His first availability will be after Friday morning weigh-ins.
The reason is his late arrival in New York as reported by @bokamotoESPN, caused by Visa issues first reported by @TalkMMA.

Till (17–2–1) is scheduled to face Kevlin Gastelum at this weekend’s UFC 244. The middleweight pairing is anticipated to serve as the evening’s co-main event. What isn’t clear is how the last minute arrival will impact Till’s weight cut. However, returning to 185lbs might give Till a bit of wiggle room in this particular instance.
On a two-fight losing streak, Till will be looking to get back to the win column this weekend. In his past two bouts the British fighter suffered losses to then-champ Tyron Woodley, and Jorge Masvidal. Till was finished on both occasions.
UFC 244 takes place this Saturday, November 2 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The main event sees Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal collide in a five-round welterweight fight.
