Salahdine Parnasse, KSW’s interim featherweight champ, will put his belt on the line against Ivan Buchinger at KSW 52.
KSW 52 has added an interim title fight at featherweight. Per a press release Monday, the Polish MMA promotion has added Salahdine Parnasse to the December card. He’ll be making a defense of his interim title against Ivan Buchinger.
Parnasse (13-0-1), all of 21-years old, has gone 4-0 in KSW to date. After beating a pair of former champs in Marcin Wrzosek and Artur Sowinski, he claimed interim gold against Roman Szymanski at KSW 48 this past April.
Slovakia’s Ivan Buchinger (36-6) last fought in June, when he submitted Alexey Oleinik — not to be confused with UFC heavyweight Aleksei Oleinik. Buchinger, who will be making his KSW debut, is currently on a four-fight win streak. Having competed in the past for M-1, he holds a win over current UFC athlete Stevie Ray — and once shared the cage with none other than Conor McGregor. That fight did not go his way.
KSW 52 takes place December 7, 2019 at the Gliwice Arena in Gliwice, Poland. The card currently breaks down as follows:
Scott Askham vs. Mamed Khalidov
Damian Janikowski vs. Szymon Kolecki
Salahdine Parnasse vs. Ivan Buchinger
Karolina Owczarz vs. Aleksandra Rola
Michał Michalski vs. Albert Odzimkowski
