With plenty of action and standout performances, UFC Boston (UFC on ESPN 6) lived up to the hype — to see what’s next for some of the biggest winners, check out the post-fight press conference.
UFC Boston is in the books, and the sixth show on the ESPN network certainly lived up to expectations. Joe Lauzon came back from an extended layoff and earned a big victory in a feelgood moment for the hometown hero. Maycee Barber proved she is the future with an early finish of fellow prospect Gillian Robertson. Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens battled in out in their rematch, with the fight being everything fans wanted it to be.
Everything except five rounds. Who wouldn’t want two more rounds of that?
Then came the main event. Dominick Reyes showed the difference between a light heavyweight, and a big middleweight, knocking out former 185lb champ Chris Weidman within a round.
Reyes will now be in the title picture, alongside Johnny Walker and Jan Blachowicz. Those two fight later in the year, and whoever pulls off the biggest performance could be next for Jon Jones. Reyes, at the very least, has set the bar awfully high.
With the card in the books, the stars assembled back stage for the post-fight press conference, which you can view above.
