Bare Knuckle FC returns Saturday night with a freakshow main event featuring Bigfoot Silva taking on Gabriel Gonzaga.
Once, they were feared UFC heavyweights. Now, Brazilian behemoths Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva and Gabriel Gonzaga enter the world of bare knuckle boxing. At BKFC 8, the pair throw down in the main event — for which Bigfoot weighed in north of 280lbs.
Fighters hit the scales Friday ahead of the event in Tampa, Florida.
Gonzaga was a svelte 260.6lbs compared to Silva’s 284.2lbs. So, super heavyweight then?
The UFC vets aren’t the only notable names on the card. ‘Let me Bang, Bro’ TUF alum Julian Lane will be banging against Jim Alers in the evening’s co-main event. ‘Nitrane’ was 1-1 in Bare Knucke FC heading into the fight, while Alers, another UFC vet, had won his first bout in BKFC against Elvin Leon Brito earlier this year.
